Amsterdam is the largest conference center in Amsterdam and one of the most important in Europe. This iconic venue has hosted major events such as TwitchCon and IBC, as well as concerts by renowned artists like U2 and Tina Turner.

The Challenge

RAI Amsterdam allows companies to create and customise their stands through its web store, where they can personalise them by purchasing various elements. However, users faced a significant limitation: while they could access their order list, they were unable to view all the purchased items for each of their stands and events separately.

To address this, the RAI team collaborated closely with the Digital Commerce team at Incentro to develop a new section in their store. This feature allows users to easily view all the products they’ve purchased, organised by stand and event, in one place.

Working with the team has been an incredible experience. Their creativity and problem-solving skills have been essential in navigating challenging situations. Thanks to our collaboration, we've been able to provide our customers with greater transparency, resulting in fewer customer inquiries and a noticeable improvement in overall efficiency and service quality.

Solution

Leveraging the power and versatility of Intershop, the platform on which the web store is built, the Incentro team developed new functionality fully integrated into the profile of the company owning the stand. This section synchronises with the company's ERP, combining Intershop data with information from the management system. In this way, a perfect synergy is achieved, offering a complete and detailed view of the purchases made, meeting all the exhibitor's needs.

The Results

The new functionality presents a series of key benefits:

  • Real-Time Visibility: Thanks to the integration with the ERP system, companies can view all their stands and associated products in real-time, complete with images and related product suggestions.
  • Intuitive Interface: The new section enables users to efficiently manage their products, including the ability to remove items from the stand package or increase the number of existing products.
  • Continuous Evolution: The page has continuously evolved, adding new features such as a detailed history of all actions (purchases, deletions, product modifications, etc.) and an interactive map of the space, which helps users easily locate elements like power or water outlets.
